WINOmega3Complex is generally well tolerated with a low occurrence of side effects. However, some side effects have been noted. Burping, infection, flu-like symptoms, upset stomach, a change in your sense of taste, back pain and skin rash are WINOmega3Complex' most common side effects, but there are also others. Ask your healthcare provider for a complete list. If you think you are experiencing any side effects, immediatly stop taking WINOmega3Complex and consult a doctor. Tell your healthcare professional about all of your medical conditions, including if you have: diabetes, a thyroid problem called hypothyroidism, a liver or pancreas problem, are allergic to fish, are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant, or are breast feeding. In individuals with hypertriglyceridemia (HTG), address excess body weight and alcohol intake before recommendeing the use of WINOmega3Complex. Diet and exercise can be important ancillary measures. Look for and treat diseases contributory to hyperlipidemia, such as hypothyroidism or diabetes mellitus. Certain treatments (e.g., estrogen therapy, thiazide diuretics and beta blockers) are sometimes associated with very significant rises in serum triglyceride (TG) levels. Discontinuation of the specific agent may obliviate the need for specific drug therapy for HTG.
In individuals with very high TG levels the effect of WINOmega3Complex the risk of pancreatitis has not been evaluated, nor has its effect on cardiovascular mortality and morbidity been determined. WINOmega3Complex is contraindicated in patients who exhibit hypersensitivity to any component of this medication.
Before recommending WINOmega3Complex, confirm that TG levels are consistently abnormal. WINOMega3Complex should be used with caution in individuals with known sensitivity or allergy to fish. The individual's TG, LDL-C and ALT levels should be monitored periodically during the use of WINOmega3Complex. In some individuals, WINOmega3Complex increased LDL-C. WINOmega3Complex use should be stopped if there is not an adequate response after 6 months of use. Some studies with omega-3-acids demonstrated prolongation of bleeding time, which did not exceed normal limits and did not produce clinically significant bleeding episodes. Individuals taking both WINOmega3Complex and prescription anticoagulants should be monitored periodically. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Use WINOmega3Complex during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Also, use caution when recommeding the use of WINOmega3Complex to breastfeeding women. WINOmega3Complex is nor recommended for use in children. WINOmega3Complex was generally well-tolerated in controlled studies.
